The Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) has announced the successful conclusion of its first series of open days designed to introduce the university's new Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program to aspiring medical students.
The 3-day-event was attended by 500 students and parents, in addition to school counselors. The series aimed to inform participants on the requirements for admission for the six-year programme, which offers 50 seats.
Dr Amer Ahmad Sharif, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Healthcare City Authority - Education, and Dr Alawi Alsheikh Ali, Dean of the College of Medicine, welcomed the participants, who also had an opportunity to meet with faculty and staff members from the emirate's newest medical college, as well as learn about MBRU's partnership with Queen's University, Belfast.
