Shamma bint Sohail Faris Al Mazrui, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, has urged members of Sharjah Youth Consultative Council (SYCC) to unleash their creativity to contribute to the development of the country.
The minister held a meeting with members to discuss their is-sues, concerns and ambitions. The SYCC consolidates the values of citizenship, belonging and effective participation in the minds of young people and also promotes the essential role of young Emirati women in contributing to society.
The main goals of the meeting between the minister and mem-bers of the SYCC were to open up new channels of communication and create inspiring discussions between the UAE Cabinet and the youth. In addition, the council members proposed a few recom-mendations at the first official meeting of the council, in its sixth session. The proposals covered three key sectors: education, healthcare, and media.
Abdullah Al Ali, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee of SYCC, said: "The meeting be-tween Shamma Al Mazrui, Minis-ter of State for Youth Affairs, and Deputies of the SYCC was ex-tremely productive. It will also pave the way for more meetings with other ministers in govern-ment, an initiative that is now a permanent item on the agenda of the council."
