An Emirati man, 48, and a 31-year-old Uzbek woman were charged at the Dubai Court of First Instance with having illicit sexual relation that resulted in a love child.

The arrests were made on July 27 and a case was registered at Al Rafaa Police Station.
According to the public prosecution arraignment sheet, the two accused forged a birth certificate by filling it in with false information in a way to claim the girl was the daughter of another man.
The couple admitted to the prosecution investigator to having an illicit sexual relation and a baby girl out of it. They also confessed they used a fake marriage contract and had got a birth certificate issued for them at the hospital.
A DNA test on the baby and the male defendant showed he is her biological father, as per a report from the general directorate of criminal evidence and criminology.
A letter from the hospital said that a birth certificate dated September 21, 2017, was issued to the woman.
The forged documents were enclosed to the case file.
The trial continues on November 25.
