A major fire that erupted in a Dubai tower on Thursday night has been successfully put out.
According to a brief statement issued by the Dubai Media Office, the fire erupted in Duja Tower opposite World Trade Centre.
Netizens took to social media to post videos of the blaze as it spread through the building located around Sheikh Zayed Road.
The statement - issued on Thursday night - added that emergency teams were extinguishing a fire on the external facade of the tower.
Dubai Civil Defence is extinguishing a fire on the external facade of Duja Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road. The building has been evacuated to ensure the safety of all residents and no injuries have been reported.Eyewitnesses said that the fire had already been out at around 9.30pm.
