The Dubai Police paid a visit to UAE national Zied Al Zubaidy to deliver a brand new car that he won by simply following the traffic laws of the emirate.
In a video released by Dubai Police on Wednesday, Maj-Gen Mohammed Saif Al Zafin, Assistant to the Dubai Police Chief for Operation Affairs, said that Al Zubaidy won the car through the police force's white points system.
Maj-Gen Al Zafin can be seen visiting the winner at his house in Al Barsha where they hand him the keys to a brand new Hyundai.
The Dubai Police's white points system is a programme that was launched in 2013 as a way to reward the emirate's careful and safe drivers. Since its inception, it has recorded over 65,000 motorists. The system has honoured 1,500 drivers in 2014, subsequently increasing every year to 1,800 drivers honoured in 2015; 2,000 in 2016 and 2,600 in 2017 respectively.
