The UAE has been facing searing temperatures over the last two weeks with some areas reaching 49 degrees Celcius. Today there was news that some parts of the UAE received heavy rain, as well as hail, in parts of Sharjah and Al Ain.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), Al Maliha in central Sharjah and Masaken in Al Ain received heavy showers on Monday afternoon.
A video was uploaded on NCMS official page which showed heavy rain and winds.

In a statement on its website, the NCMS warned that "rainy towering clouds" associated with fresh winds at times may cause sand and dust to be blown and cause poor visibility, particularly in the eastern and northern internal areas of the country. Additionally, the NCMS noted that visibility on highways and exposed areas may be reduced to less than 1,500 metres, and warned that the waters of the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea may become rough.
