The UAE’s top tourist attractions have been revealed. According to state news agency Wam, the top destinations are: Jebel Hafeet in Al Ain, Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah, Hatta Dam in Dubai and Al Rafisah Dam in Khor Fakkan.

The key to these destinations’ appeal lies in the development projects implemented there. This includes development of roads and leisure services on offer.

>> Hatta Dam

The City of Hatta is one of the most important tourist sites in Dubai. Tourists can kayak at the Hatta Lake, while the area’s natural settings offer a picturesque setting for camping and hiking.

>> Al Rafisah Dam

Located between mountains, the area features restaurants, play areas for children and a 730-metre walkway surrounded by tall palm trees and fresh green plants and herbs.

>> Jebel Hafeet

It is one of the largest mountains in the UAE. Surrounded by Ghaf trees, it is home to rare animals such as feral cats and some small mammals such as red foxes and hyraxes.

>> Jebel Jais

It is the UAE’s highest natural peak. It offers panoramic views of valleys and plains, green lands, a vast desert and the Hajar mountain range. Jebel Jais is part of the spectacular Hajar mountain range that was formed over 70 million years ago in the eastern part of Ras Al Khaimah. Towering at more than 1,900 metres above sea level, the mountain boasts breath-taking vistas and thrilling adventures.
