Not only can these traffic violation and offences get the drivers in Dubai fined, but also get their vehicles confiscated, leaving drivers with no option but to spend more money (in addition to a hefty fine) on commutes around the city.
Here is a list of violations that can get drivers more than 10 black points on their licenses and can get their vehicles impounded for up to 90 days.
23 black points
> Driving in a way that poses danger to the life of the driver or to others.
>Driving in a way that would harm public and private properties.
>Driving under the influence of alcohol or in an intoxicated state is a crime in UAE. The crime can also get the offending driver a hefty fine (that is to be decided by court).
>Driving a vehicle without a number plate.
> Exceeding the speed limit by 80kmph.
>Causing the death of someone; being the cause of a serious accident.
24 black points
> Driving under the influence of narcotic, psychotropic or similar substances. Their vehicle will also be confiscated for 60 days.

> Falling or leaking of a heavy vehicle's cargo while driving
>Driving a noisy vehicle
> Exceeding the speed limit by 60km/h
> Driving a vehicle on a license that is different than that of the driver
