Gorge on an array of lip-smacking delicacies, shop to your heart's content and soak in seamless fun as the 17-day Ramadan Night Market - one of Dubai's largest - opens from May 31 to June 16 in the Happiness Market located in Zabeel Park. The one-of-its-kind carnival is being organised by Khaleej Times' WKND in association with Dar Al Ber Society.

You can visit the market from 6pm to 11pm and enjoy the festive ambience that the extravaganza offers. It is set to stand out because of its novelty and wholesomeness.

A huge variety of products and brands from around the region will be on display at the market. Top restaurants and cafes will dish out mouth-watering dishes, including Sri Lankan, Indian and Pakistani cuisines. Delectable desserts - from ice creams to kulfis - will whet your taste buds. And the mind-boggling range won't cease to amaze you.

Apart from being a foodies and shoppers' paradise, the market will also give visitors an opportunity to win fun food competitions over the weekends, hosted and judged by the multi-faceted RJ Gaurav Tandon. What's more, if you are a bibliophile and love books, don't miss the 'Khaleej Times Reading Lounge' at the market.

For those who wish to hone their culinary skills and pick up some new recipes, there's a special cookery show by chef Ritu Chaturvedi. The popular chef will showcase her expertise by sharing few of her favourite and original recipes live at the market for five select days. Ritu's passion for cooking has led her to become a food journalist. She is an ardent vegetarian who believes in a healthy diet and aims to host more workshops to teach, share and inspire people to eat more greens in order to adopt a healthier lifestyle. The cooking enthusiasts can expect one such workshop by the chef in the market, which will help them make a healthy difference in their lives.

Besides, the market will also buzz with exhibits starting from travel and tourism retailers to pharmaceutical and optical brands.

The partners that will make the market come alive are Mealtop Café, Chef Lanka, Khaana Badosh, Rock & Rolls restaurant, Baskin Robbins, Banarasi Kulfiwala, Chatori Gali, Pitfire Pizza, Novo Elite Holidays, Modern Homes, Hijab House, Maria Bonita, Exeed School of Business & Finance, Diner House, Organic Planet, Nutri Plus Vita Store, Thumbay Pharmacy and ZO&MO Opticals.

The market has been designed to offer a complete family package and a fun night out entertainment. It will certainly bust the myth 'You will never find a place where there is something for everyone'.
