The forensic laboratory of the Sharjah Police have launched an intensified investigation into the fire on Wednesday night which damaged three apartments and a restaurant, as well as the front side of the building in Al Qasimiya area. The fire also caused injuries to four people who were treated at the site by the ambulance staff.

According to a police official, the fire which is considered to be of medium size, is believed to have originated from the fireplace of the restaurant which then spread to the three apartments damaging them partially.
