It's not everyday when an Emirati or expat gets to meet one of the most dynamic leaders in the Arab world, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler, but one lucky Emirati had an encounter with the Ruler that she will never forget.
Hundreds of official and unofficial videos of the Ruler are posted online and on social media, but one Emirati woman's video recently went viral - after Shaikh Mohammed 'photobombed' her 'selfie video' while she was recording him leaving an event.
Photobomb
To unexpectedly appear in the camera's field of view as the picture is taken, typically as a prank or practical joke.
The charismatic leader has quite a sense of humour, which can be seen in his interviews (such as the interview with BBC in 2014), and this was another opportunity for the the Ruler to show his funny side.
Shaikh Mohammed can be seen popping in the frame of the woman's video flashing his trademark three-fingered salutes as he walked by behind her back.
The instagram video has garnered over 42,000 views since it was posted 12 hours ago.
The identity of the woman is not known yet, but judging from the headphones on her head, she might have been part of the event organising team.
