The royal family of Dubai has celebrated the first family birthday of the new year in true Dubai style.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler's young daughter Shaikha Maryam celebrated her birthday on Wednesday (January 11) with a spectacular display of 'mini fireworks'.
According to this post on a Al Maktoum family fanpage, Maryam turned 25 this year.
The family took to instagram to wish their 'beautiful sister'.
Although the location of the birthday party cannot be verified, it might have been celebrated at her residence, spread over a large area boasting of it's own private beach and open spaces. Maryam often shares photos of the place on Instagram.
According to screengrabs from her Instagram story, the princess celebrated her birthday with not one but three triple-decker cakes and plenty of pastry and macaroons to satisfy one's sweet tooth for the whole week.
When you are the princess of Dubai, three cakes is the minimum!
A big tent was setup with colourful balloons at the entrance and 'giant wire-men' structures.
