WATCH: Water, fire, laser show tell story of UAE

Water spirals danced, fireworks dazzled and lasers sizzled as a spectacular Spirit of the Union show in Dubai told the magical journey of the UAE. Held at the Dubai Design District Waterfront, the show told the story of the UAE's culture, heritage and values as seen through the eyes of a poet.
Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, was among the hundreds of people who gathered to see the grand spectacle.
The show featured legendary quotes of the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan; His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and Shaikh Hamdan, creating an awe-inspiring and emotional experience for the audience.

Choreographed to a powerful sound track, the live performance featured HD visual content projected on water curtains, detailed props, hand-held video panels, living scenery and laser and pyrotechnic effects.
Following the show, the audience was treated to a dazzling fireworks show that lit up the Dubai sky with colours of the UAE flag.
