The Dubai Frame is one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. As awe-inspiring as it is Insta-worthy, the architectural marvel is the subject of a new incredible video featuring none other than veteran French footballer Zinedine Zidane.
The athlete can be seen engaging in an amazing display of football skills with Nouf Al Anzi, a footballer on the UAE Women's National Team. And if you've never seen the duo in action, this latest video will be sure to impress.
Standing on either side of the Dubai Frame, the pair volley a football back and forth right over a portion of the towering monument, which is meant to symbolically represent a connection between the old and new faces of Dubai.
The video, sponsored by Adidas, is part of the city's recently-launched Dubai Destinations campaign, which invites people to truly discover the Emirate through the plethora of experiences it has to offer.
The initiative will also bring together some of the most creative minds from within and outside the UAE, in order to “create compelling new content about destination experiences across traditional and new media”.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, said: “The #DubaiDestinations initiative is a tribute to Dubai’s culture of hospitality and its open and inclusive outlook. With a wealth of creative content from diverse sources, this initiative will open many windows into Dubai’s uniqueness as a destination.”
Dubai has been hailed as one of the world’s safest and most open destinations. Other celebrities known to have participated in such unique campaigns to promote the city are Tiger Woods, Lewis Hamilton, Roger Federer, and David Coulthard.
