Everyone's talking America! So we've decided to do the same -  but we promise to go beyond election results and fast food chains. Yes, some of the biggest fast food chains do come from America but there is a lot more to explore.
Head to Big Daddy's, BurJuman for a relaxing brunch and enjoy the feel of the 80s-style diner. Whilst you wait for your order you can play Pac-Man or Super Mario on their retro video game machines. For Dh28, you can have The Brady Brunch: fried chicken with waffles and eggs. Or you can hop in to IHOP, The Dubai Mall, and choose from their selection of pancakes, omelettes and crepes. A must-try here is the Garden Stuffed Crepes for Dh45: crepes stuffed with Swiss cheese and scrambled eggs, with spinach, mushrooms and onions.
Pizzas aren't exactly American but ever since the first pizzeria opened in the US in 1905, they have been coming up with various American takes on this Italian flatbread such as pizza-on-a-stick and pizza pockets. So if it's the American variant, you wish to savour then head to California Pizza Kitchen, The Dubai Mall. A must try for vegetarians is the California Veggie: oven baked crust topped with grilled zucchini, roasted corn, mozzarella, broccoli and red onions; delicious and healthy! Another must is the California Club for Dh56: smoked beef and roasted chicken topped with avocado, basil and shredded lettuce.
Hamburger fans can visit Burger Joint New York, City Walk. For Dh38, you get a cheeseburger, finish your meal with a homemade brownie for Dh8. Salt, Kite Beach, TGI Friday's, Shake Shack or Parker's, The Dubai Mall, make for good eating out options as well.
