Visit and win! Residents of Dubai know these are not mere promotional words but a reality at the ongoing Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS).
The Big Summer Sale, the new attraction of the DSS, is giving shoppers an opportunity to win Dh10,000 worth prizes daily if they visit the Dubai World Trade Centre's Zabeel Halls two and three. The 10-day exhibition ends today.
Emirati Hind Ali, one of the lucky shoppers at DSS, said: "This is really unbelievable. Soon after I left the venue, I got a call saying I am a winner. I have never won a raffle before."
Ali is one among the winners of the Big Summer Sale's raffle draw which gifts shoppers prizes worth Dh10,000 daily.
Residents cutting across nationalities and ages have been visiting the venue to experience the amazing deals at the summer sale, and win prizes out of their love for shopping.
Saif Mohamed Al Rais, from Oman, was another big winner of the raffle draw.
He said: "At first, I was a bit hesitant to collect the prize. But they called me again, and we came all the way back from Oman to collect the prize. The discounts here are amazing. You can find all the brands under the same roof and also for all seasons."
Another winner was young Saud Hamad Al Bolushi from the UAE. His mother commented that the first thing he said when he found out he won is that he would go and buy more toys.
"Saud has never won anything before. So he is very happy and has even said he would like to give some money to charity. So far we have had a great shopping experience and we have bought lots of shoes and sportswear, and since we are here and they have announced we have won we are going to go shop some more."
Entrance to the summer sale is free with every visitor being given a raffle coupon that will be entered into a daily draw. In addition to the Visit and Win raffle, shoppers who spend Dh300 at the event will be entitled to a Shop and Win raffle coupon that will be entered into a draw today for a grand prize of a Nissan 370Z cars.
