A woman who killed her husband has sought the help of diplomatic missions to seek pardon from the victim's family.
The Bangladeshi woman had killed her Pakistani husband with the help of her ex-husband so that they could live together again. She approached the Bangladesh and Pakistan consulates to help her in reaching out to the family of the deceased and offer blood money.
A Sharjah Court, which has adjourned the case several times for the same reason, granted the two accused yet another grace period for talks with the victim's family.
The Sharjah Shariah Court presided by Judge Hussain Al Ousofi has allowed the duo to communicate with the parents of the victim and secure the amount needed for blood money .
The lawyer of the two accused said that there were joint efforts from his side and the two accused to reach an agreement with the family of the victim. The defence lawayer Ali Hashim, said that he was attempting to get in touch with the brother of his client, the Pakistani victim and his parents.
The Sharjah Public Prosecution charged both the suspects with premeditated murder. However, during the court hearing Advocate Hashim Al Hashmi told the court that the woman's ex-husband did not commit the crime, and was in Ajman when it took place.
How did the murder happen
According to court records, the woman prepared food and mixed it with drugs given her compatriot ex-husband before serving it to the deceased.
She allegedly smashed his head and then severed it, with the help of the ex-husband. The woman then cut his body into smaller parts and threw away his torso behind a furniture shop on Al Wahda Road, and disposed of the rest in different locations in Sharjah Industrial Area.
The crime came to light when a cleaner employed with the Sharjah Municipality saw blood in a waste bag and called the police who identified the victim.
