It's happy news for rock-climbing enthusiasts in the UAE as CLYMB Abu Dhabi - the world's tallest indoor climbing wall will be opened to the public on Friday, November 29.
Located on Yas Island and connected to Yas Mall and Ferrari World, the sporting facility is the world's ultimate adventure hub that offers world-class climbing and skydiving experiences.
CLYMB Abu Dhabi is home to the world's biggest flight chamber at 10 metres (32 feet) wide and 32 metres (104 feet) high, as well as five climbing walls, including the world's tallest indoor climbing wall at 43 metres (141 feet) called The SUMMYT.
The Dh367-million sporting facility is a fully indoor attraction for both flying and climbing and is non-weather dependent.
As Abu Dhabi's first custom-built indoor skydiving and climbing centre, CLYMB offers varying levels of difficulty in both skydiving and climbing for guests of all skill levels.
"It's designed to present unique sporting challenges to active lifestyle enthusiasts from the UAE and around the world," John Barrington Rogers, general manager of CLYMB Abu Dhabi told Khaleej Times at the facility's opening ceremony on Thursday, November 28.
Rogers added: "Whether you are a first time flyer or an experienced climber, our highly skilled trainers will carefully guide you through every step of your way. Depending on your experience and comfort, our instructors will help you progress to the next level whether that's tackling the next highest wall or conquering a new flying position."
Skydiving
From first time flyers as young as three years old to professional skydivers, this climbing and flying adventure isn't only for adrenaline junkies, but is suitable for all ages. With three levels, CLYMB offers experiences for first time flyers, return flyers and pro flyers.
Guests can skydive in the world's tallest and widest indoor skydiving flight chamber, while indoor skydiving guests can feel the power of more than four times the number of fans than in a standard skydiving chamber.
Flight Instructors remain with the guest at all times within the flight chamber itself.
At The SUMMYT, climbers can find four levels with supervision throughout, aiming to improve skills and experiences. Courses for belaying and lead climbing will be available to help people progress to the next step.
The facility opens from Sunday to Thursday between 12pm and 9pm, with Friday and Saturday opening from 12pm to 11pm.
The fee for wall climbing at CLYMB ranges from Dh100 and Dh215 for skydiving.
