Dubai - Ensuring safety comes with a set of penalisation mechanisms in the form of fines that keep motorists in check.

Ensuring safety on the road is the mutual responsibility of the drives, pedestrians as well as the governing authorities in the country and its cities.
Khaleej Times had launched a 'safe driving' campaign in January this year. The series provided an overview of road safety issues in the UAE and how that one moment of distraction could prove fatal.
However, ensuring safety comes with a set of penalisation mechanisms in the form of fines that keep motorists and the residents in check.
Some of these fines have been almost or more than doubled in Dubai in the last couple of years. Below is the list of the same.
