Legendary Pakistani batsman Mohammad Yousuf believes Indian superstar Virat Kohli still hasn't reached the level of Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman.
Yousuf was asked to rate Kohli by a Pakistani news channel Geo Super channel.
"The quality of cricket nowadays does not match the quality we had in the past. Virat Kohli is a very good batsman and I like to watch him play but I don't think he is in the same league as Tendulkar, Dravid or Laxman," Yousuf said.
"Some might not agree but I don't think today we have the same quality bowlers or batsmen that we had when I played. Look at Australia's present bowling line-up. They have no one to match Glenn McGrath or Shane Warne, India had Anil Kumble, (Javagal) Srinath and some very good bowlers. South Africa and West Indies also had strong bowling attacks while Sri Lanka relied heavily on (Muttiah) Muralitharan," Yousuf added.
Of course, the likes of Tendulkar and Dravid faced better bowlers in their career. But it's not Kohli's fault either that world cricket now doesn't have bowlers like Akram, Warne, McGrath and Muralitharan.
So today, we want to ask you a very interesting question: Who is the best Test batsman in the last 20 years?
That's our KT Sport poll today.
We have only picked players who have played minimum 100 Test matches and averaged 50 or above.
