Rain will continue across parts of the UAE until Tuesday, with heavy rains expected at times across the North and Northeast. As light rain drizzled across some of Dubai's busiest roads on Sunday afternoon including Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, a spokesperson for the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) told Khaleej Times that clouds (in layered form) will continue to cover most of the UAE over the next 48 hours.
Light showers are expected on the western parts of the country to the eastern parts and there will be a substantial drop in temperature. "Over the next 24 hours the maximum temperature will reach 20 degrees celsius and the minimum, 8 to 12 degrees Celcius." Motorists are urged to take extra precautions on the wet roads.
