The Times of Oman reports that the afternoon shifts of Indian School Muscat, Indian School Wadi Kabir and Indian School Darsait were cancelled today, Wilson V George, chairman, Board of Directors for Indian Schools in Oman, said.
"Philippines School and some other schools in the Muscat area have also asked parents to collect their children," the report stated.

In addition, traffic signals on Airport road, 18th November St, Al Khuwair and at the Oman Club have been of order and authorities are working to repair them.
According to Oman's meteorology department, rain will continue in different parts of Oman over the next few days with temperatures dropping further.
Meanwhile in the UAE, rain is likely to continue until Tuesday, with heavy rains expected at times across the North and Northeast. Motorists are urged to take extra precautions on the wet roads.
