Have you heard about the Ninja Training Camp happening at LEGOLAND Dubai till September 30? Families and kids are invited to unleash their inner ninja at LEGO City by completing five missions, including scavenger hunts and speed and skills tests. Successful participants will receive an honourary ninja pop badge, headband and a photo opportunity with walking characters Cole and Ninja Ollie. You can even wrap up with a ninja-themed meal at The Market Restaurant. LEGOLAND Dubai tickets are priced at Dh165. For more info, visit www.legoland.com/dubai.
Murder on the menu
Got plans for Halloween? How about a little murder mystery dinner? Ruth's Chris Steakhouse will be taking guests back in time to 1965 on October 31 for a whodunit that should make dinner very interesting, to say the least. Ideal for 6-12 guests per table, guests are encouraged to dress for the occasion in 1960's dinner attire. The restaurant will allocate character and clues and it will be up to diners to discover who at the table committed the fatal felony. The four-course meal costs Dh450 per person. Call 04-4549538.
Going green pays
A newly opened restaurant called LOCAL is out to reward those who recycle by offering a 20% discount per person on their lazy weekend breakfast, if you hand in a recycled glass jar or bottle on arrival. In other words, you can enjoy their delish breakfast buffet - from 6.30am all the way until 2pm! - for Dh75, instead of Dh 92. Kids under 10 eat free. For reservations, call 04-2476630.
Shop till you drop
The UAE's appetite for fashion never abates. Hopping aboard the exhibitor bandwagon is Boulevard One, which will be launching its biggest-ever edition of the Festive Boutique on October 6 and 7 at The Royal Ballroom, Palace Downtown Dubai. Set to showcase over 50 top Pakistani and international designers, visitors can find everything from pret to luxury wear, and jewellery to home décor.
The exhibition will be on from 2-10pm on October 6 and 10am to 7pm on October 7.
