I came across your home remedy articles in the magazine, so I'm writing in hopes of a solution. The eczema that my identical twins (aged 13) are suffering from is intense to the level that it has even begun appearing on their face - other than on their hands, back and legs. Please recommend a cure.

Eczema requires medical help, but adding a pinch of camphor powder to coconut oil and keeping it overnight before applying to the skin of your twins will help soothe and calm their skin. This should be done twice a day and left on overnight for best results. I'd recommend that you also seek help from a dermatologist.

I'm 29 years old. Please tell me how to cure severe dandruff (seborrheic dermatitis) and hair loss naturally. Does white onion help? What about applying a mix of organic apple cider vinegar and water in equal proportions?

The best treatment for hair loss with severe dandruff is to add 2 tablespoons aloe vera gel to 1 tablespoon onion juice and 6 drops tea tree oil. Mix together and massage into the scalp. Rinse thoroughly after an hour, then use a herbal or protein shampoo to rinse scalp. Avoid conditioner. Onion juice is excellent to arrest hair fall. Organic apple cider vinegar balances the pH level of the scalp, so it can help treat dandruff to a certain extent.

I am a 13-year-old boy with a lot of hair fall. My hair has grown thinner and I have a lot of dandruff. My skin has also tanned due to sun exposure. Can you give me some home remedies that don't require tea tree oil?

Soak 1 tablespoon fenugreek seeds overnight. In the morning, grind 12 curry leaves together with the fenugreek seeds and some yoghurt into a fine smooth paste. Massage into scalp and leave on for 1-2 hours. Rinse off and apply a very mild fruit shampoo. Do this three times a week. To lighten tan, apply papaya twice a day. Rinse after 20 minutes. Avoid the sun and apply sun protection when you do go out.

My skin gets extremely dry when the temperature is cooler and then feels itchy. Could you give me a remedy for this problem?
- Annie
Add 1 tablespoon almond powder to honey and rose water; make a rich creamy paste. Apply this to the skin and give it a mild scrub after 20 minutes. This will help exfoliate the dry skin and renew it, making it smooth and soft again. Do this every day for amazing results.
