How do you typically start your workday?
I'm usually an early riser. After dropping the kids to school, which I enjoy as I get to catch up with what's latest in their lives, I head to the office. Grabbing a cup of steaming coffee on the way has become a habit too.
Describe your work in a sentence.
Developing and executing Benjamin Moore's strategy for growth and expansion throughout Middle East and Pakistan. Our special focus is to create a preference for our paint brand by providing the best possible product and service to our customer.
What is your favourite thing about your job?
Painting the town red (laughs)! On a serious note, my work gives me the opportunity to meet new people and explore new business opportunities by providing solutions in the coatings industry.
What has been your most challenging experience to date and how did you resolve it?
Adapting to the changing market conditions and aligning the company's capabilities to handle the change has been the most challenging part of running a business. Resolving challenges is always a work in progress but pre-empting market conditions and adapting in time is key to sustainability and success.
What advice would you give your younger self, if you could?
I'm pretty content with how my younger self was but, if I could go back in time, then I would tell him to appreciate and anticipate the power of technology and be an early adopter of changing landscapes in the workplace. I believe that, in this world, change is the only constant.
How do you maintain a work:life balance?
I'm a believer of quality over quantity. I may not be able to spend a lot of time with family or spend hours reading or biking, my two favourite hobbies, but when I do take out time for the things I enjoy, I ensure that I relish every minute of it.

Any advice for youngsters just getting into the professional arena?
The corporate world increasingly demands continuous education and learning. Therefore, youngsters need to be abreast with the knowledge and developments in their line of work so that depth is attained in their respective fields.
A fictional character you think would make for a good role model - and why?
For me, a good role model is that everyday hero who faces hardships and challenges but continues to strive and move forward to achieve the dream that seems a fantasy to the rest of world. Fortunately we have many such role models in real life, so we don't have to depend on fictional characters.
What would you say is your greatest dream, professionally?
Seeing the brand become the market leader amongst quality paint companies in the region would be a dream fulfilled.
