How do you typically start your workday?
I usually start my day with a strong cup of coffee whilst looking at the numbers, followed by an intensive session at Flywheel or by walking my dog.
Describe your work in a sentence:
I work towards providing truly memorable
dining experiences, with a keen eye on profit.
What is your favourite thing about your job?
The fact that no two days are ever the same! Also, the fantastic people I work with.
What advice would you give your younger self, if you could?
Bite the bullet and move to the Middle East!
What has been your most challenging experience to date?
I think that would be restructuring a business to meet the needs of an ever-changing environment and economic landscape. It's a challenge, but it's fulfilling too.
How do you maintain a work-life balance?
It's all about having exercise, discipline, a very supportive family. and a great collection of shoes!
Any advice for youngsters just getting into the professional arena?
I think it's important for youngsters so keep their finger on the pulse of the industry by being savvy on all platforms. It's also a must to know their product inside and out!
A fictional character you think would make for a good role model - and why?
The frighteningly productive Miranda Priestly from A Devil Wears Prada! Because anyone who can say "by all means, move at a glacial pace, you know how that thrills me" without smiling is a force to be reckoned with.
What is your greatest dream, professionally?
To be the CEO of a successful global F&B brand.
