I remember reading your tip on the use of corn flour in hair removal. Could you please let me know once again how to go about doing this? -Name withheld

For hair removal, mix egg white with corn flour to achieve a sticky consistency. Apply on to the area that requires hair removal. When dry, scrub off gently. Do this often to get quick results. Avoid the application during your menstrual cycle as during this time the skin is stressed and hair removal is difficult.

Johnson & Johnson is a very reputed company. You can continue using the product, but only if you are happy with the end results.

Apply coconut milk mixed with almond powder daily on the face and twice a week on the scalp. Scrub off after 1 hour and follow with mild shampoo. Coconut milk should nourish your hair and lighten up the skin.

First of all, I would like to applaud you for giving wonderful and timeless remedies. My son is 12 and has heavy dandruff. I tried lemon, vinegar and hot oil but nothing seems to work. Desperate, I shaved off his head. Now, his scalp has rashes and I am really worried. I am applying aloe vera gel, washing his scalp with besan and applying Mahabhringaraj oil. Please help me. - Seema

Thank you for your generous compliment. I am glad you are using aloe vera gel on the scalp. This should help with the dandruff. Avoid using besan as it dries the skin. Instead, use a very mild shampoo for his hair. Ensure that your son drinks at least two litres of water everyday and as much as possible, see that his diet is healthy, homemade and nutritious. Avoid fats and chocolates. If he wants, he may have fast food or junk food only once a week.

I’m a 17-year-old student. In the last couple of months, I have been getting a lot of pimples on my forehead, cheeks and chin. The marks left behind from the pimples look awful! Please suggest an effective remedy. - Name withheld

The outbreak of pimples may be due to stress, hormonal imbalance or dandruff. Massage the scalp with aloe vera gel twice a week. Also, mix 1 tsp of aloe vera gel with cinnamon, honey and corn flour and apply on the face. Rinse face and scalp after an hour. Apply the facemask daily for good results.
