Eat your vegetables for dessert

If munching on your salad sounds like too much of an effort, ask anyone you know who’s coming from Japan to get you Haagen Dazs’s latest line of Spoon vege ice-creams. They’ve currently introduced two flavours — carrot orange and tomato cherry. Apparently, this line will contain only 8.5 per cent milk fat — which is approximately half of the milk fat in regular ice-creams from the brand, making this a tad healthier. What are your thoughts on this? Would you try it out for dessert?

Make Up Bag Remix with Make Up For Ever

Do you have a bunch of products you don’t know how to use? Don’t fret! You can carry your make up bag to the fashion catwalk in Dubai Mall, and the artists at Make Up For Ever will rummage through your bag, and educate you on how to get the best out of your product, application tips, and whether or not the hues and textures work for you. It is a free service, available till May 4, and open to the general public.

Interested in designing shoes?

If you fancy yourself as the next Jimmy Choo, the Footwear Design course by London College of Fashion in Dubai is a must try this summer. It’s one of the new and exciting courses to be conducted when LCF returns to Dubai between May 16-28. Held at the Vida Hotel — Downtown, Footwear Design will introduce students to the art of designing the perfect shoe! Developing amazing ideas through a mixture of workshops and classes, students will focus on progressing their understanding of storyboards, range building and interpreting trends. For more details about the course, visit www.arts.ac.uk/fashion/courses/short-courses/dubai, or email shortcourses@fashion.arts.ac.uk with any questions.

New Brand alert!

There’s good news for curvy girls in the UAE! Yours London — a new plus-sized brand — has launched in the region under the Landmark group. They have a stylish range of clothing for sizes 14-32, which have been designed to flatter bigger body types, but are on trend as well. You can head there to pick up anything from casual to party wear, lingerie and swimwear. They currently have stores at three locations — Al Ghurair Mall, Dubai; Dalma Mall, Abu Dhabi; and Sahara Centre in Sharjah.
