Let's face it, it's hard not to love music.

Whether you're driving to work in the morning or trying out a new fitness programme, music is easily the fastest way to get pumped up about your day. Unfortunately, as popular streaming app Spotify (whose slogan, incidentally, is 'music for everyone') hasn't quite reached a number of countries, including the UAE, this week we give you a list of alternative music streaming apps to help you stay up-to-date with your favourite beats. Stream on!
Deezer
Deezer wins points for being the closest app to Spotify in this part of the world. Plus, it's teeming with cool functions like Flow, which plays tracks based on your music preferences (to help you find new favourites) and the ability to recommend other Deezer users a song you liked. You can 'favourite' the tunes you like and skip the ones you don't - to help the programme learn more about your music choices. You can also download the songs you like (a paid-for function) to listen to them offline. The free version is pretty basic; you can switch to a premium one for a better musical experience.
Anghami
If English music isn't quite your cup of tea, Anghami is teeming with Arabic and Hindi songs. Listen to anything from a library consisting of a million-plus songs or make your own library by collecting the songs you like. The app also gives you recommendations through playlists designed to suit your taste. Paying a certain fee will help you avoid the ads, and enable unlimited listening and downloading.
Saavn Music & Radio
Get your daily desi fix with this popular app. Saavn Music & Radio grants you access to English, Hindi, Bollywood and Indian regional songs. You can follow your friends and artists, and get notifications when new content is uploaded. Moreover, you can share songs you like with your friends and chat with them through the app. If you're a fan of Indian tunes - from Bollywood numbers to slow ghazals - this one is for you.
SoundCloud
The easiest way to listen to the hottest beats out there - SoundCloud lets you discover the trending tunes in every genre with ease through its Explore option. You can also shuffle your playlists, record sounds and share them on social media or follow your friends - and even artists, for that matter - and listen to the tunes they share. It's almost like Facebook - but with music. What's not to like?
