The first thing you think about when you wake up?
The wonderful man in my life, and my family. And what and where am I going to eat that day!

Your favourite movie character of all time and why?
Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie in Sex and the City whose writing persona partly inspired me to start FooDiva. And because she dresses like a diva!
What is your favourite cuisine and your favourite restaurant in Dubai?
My favourite cuisine is Japanese, for its purity and simplicity; Tomo at Raffles Hotel has the most authentic Japanese food in Dubai. My favourite restaurant is Qbara for modern Middle Eastern fare in a majestic, vibrant setting.
What's one thing you would like to change in your life?
Work less, and play more.
What is one major life lesson you've learnt and what advice would you give others?
Never take a yes for granted, always follow-up.
