The working hours of Bahrain's main commercial malls and tourism areas will be extended during the period extending from March 10 to 20, 2016 with the start of school holidays in a number of GCC countries, amid an expected increase in the flow of tourists and visitors, Acting Chief Executive of the Bahrain Authority for Tourism and Exhibitions (BATE) Shaikh Khalid bin Hmood Al Khalifa announced.
Shaikh Khalid bin Hmood said that BATE had reached an agreement with the managements of "City Centre" and "Seef Mall" in the Seef District to remain open from 10:00am to 02:00am during the weekend and until midnight during week days.
BATE had also issued a circular to tourist restaurants in Complex 338 in Adliya to extend their working hours by an hour during same period, he said, noting that the move is in line with the goals set in the national strategy for the tourism.
