Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, said that with the continuation of Qatar to grant citizenships to Bahrainis, locals should be careful and avoid being penalised by the recent amendments in the nationality law.
The statement issued on Sunday was in response to the case of Salah Mohammed Al Jalahma who was questioned last week by the Public Prosecution for obtaining Qatari citizenship and illegally giving up his Bahraini nationality.
