BIC all set for Grand Prix events
With the Australian Grand Prix complete and Nico Rosberg drawing first blood in the 2016 Formula 1 season, the eyes of the world now turn to "The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East" for the 2016 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.Kick starting the festivities on Thursday, March 31, will be a Pit Walk for all ticket-holders. It will be followed in the evening by the first concert of the weekend featuring Moroccan artist Saad Lamjarred. Lamjarred's concert is only the first of a series of fantastic live performances during the Bahrain Grand Prix weekend at BIC.
On Fri-day, April 1, reggae legend Jimmy Cliff will be taking to the stage, as well as DJs Axwell Ingrosso. On April 2, artist and producer Avicii will be entertaining the crowd.All those with tickets to the Grand Prix will be able to attend the concerts.A main grandstand ticket costs BD150 apiece, while a Batelco Grandstand ticket costs BD120.
A ticket to the Turn One Grandstand costs BD100, and tickets to the University and Victory Grand-stands are BD60 apiece. Children aged three to 12-year- old can get tickets for half the price, while entry is free of charge for those below three years. School students aged 13 to 17 can get a 25 per cent discount. University students can get 10 per cent off, while senior citizens aged 60 and above along with people with special needs can get 25 per cent discount.
Universal Enterprises sponsars raft race
Universal Enterprises will sponsor the upcoming raft race of the Rotary Club Salmania that will take place on April 15. Managing Director of Universal Enterprises Fawaz Al Mannai has presented the sponsorship cheque to the club out of support to community events.
Hotels support worldwide earth Hour
The Westin and Le Meridien Bahrian City Centre went dark the other night to shine the light on climate change with Earth Hour 2016. The hotels joined millions around the world in turning off lights for one hour on March 19 at 8:30pm local time to send a powerful message about environmental awareness and action. The Westin and Le Meridien participated by encouraging guests to switch off all nonessential lights in their rooms. The Westin hosted crafted mock tails at thel obby in a candle-lit ambience, while Le Meridien hosted a similar event with sparkling mocktails as well as a make-your-own eclairs station.

The Galaxy S7 is available for free on 18-months contract with the BD15 add-on, or for BD79 with a 12-months contract.
