Hyderabad: The opposition Congress on Thursday demanded a White Paper from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government on the total investments that chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was able to mobilise during the just-concluded visit to China and Hong Kong.
Leader of the Opposition in the State Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir, addressing the media following the chief minister's return to Hyderabad on Sunday, alleged that the 9-day trip "was nothing but a leisure trip for KCR and his team of ministers and government officials."
"The trip was a flop since not a single Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with any industry during KCR's visit to China and Hong Kong. Instead of making tall claims that he got assurances of investments worth several billions of rupees, the chief minister should release a White Paper giving specific details of this trip as also details of investments that he was able to mobilise during his visit to Malaysia and Singapore earlier," he said.
