Defence day terror plan foiled; RAW militant held in Quetta

Security forces on Saturday, in an intelligence-based operation, foiled a terror bid which was set to be executed in Quetta on Defence Day today.
"A terrorist was arrested during the operation who confessed his links with RAW, he also confessed having planted IEDs in Quetta on two separate occasions which took numerous lives," officials stated.
The suspected militant was arrested with various explosives in his possession, including an improvised explosive device (IED) weighing over 6 kilogrammes, a mortar bomb and nut bolts.
Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies have foiled a major terror bid in the Sariab area by arresting an alleged terrorist.
SSP Operations, Waheed Khatak, said the alleged terrorist was arrested red handed while he was planting a 6kg bomb under a bridge in the Sariab area.
Waheed Khatak said that the alleged terrorist has links to the Afghan intelligence agency NDS and has confessed that he has been paid Rs10,000 to plant the bomb. The alleged terrorist has been shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.
