Emirates Red Crescent send food aid to Yemenis

Abu Dhabi - UAE's humanitarian agency said teams are transporting the food aid to the city of Taiz via Wadi Al Dhabab, a dangerous rugged mountainous area.

The Emirates Red Crescent is distributing some 20,000 food packages worth more than Dh5.7 million to residents of the besieged Yemeni city of Taiz as part of its humanitarian mission in Yemen.
In a statement, the UAE's humanitarian agency said its teams are transporting the food aid from Aden to the besieged city of Taiz via Wadi Al Dhabab, a dangerous rugged mountainous area.
Four teams from the Emirates Red Crescent set up four distribution centres in Al Qahira district to carry out the mission.
Some 10,000 food packages will be carried to residents of Mudaffar district.
