The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council for Arab States (GCC), Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, condemned in strongest possible terms the terrorist attack on the elderly care home in Aden on Friday.
A number of innocent civilians were killed in the attack, including physicians and foreign nurses.
Al Zayani described the attack as a "terrible crime that violates the international laws and humanitarian principles. It reveals the nature and objectives of the forces who oppose the restoration of security and stability to Yemen."
The GCC chief expressed full confidence in the ability of Yemen security forces to uncover circumstances shrouding this criminal act, and brutal perpetrators who are stripped of all the humanity and moral values and principles. He expressed his heartfelt condolences for the relatives of victims, the government and people of Yemen.
He stressed the GCC states slammed this heinous crime and back the Yemeni government to take all measures possible to preserve the security and safety of its citizens and residents on its territory.
