Miss Universe 2017 is right around the corner and people from all over the world are rooting for their candidate to win. In the UAE, two of the largest communities represented at the pageant include India and Philippines.
For Filipinos, the hope is that they can replicate the stunning victory of Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach in 2015. To support this, current Miss Universe-Philippines Rachel Peters has already been given some advice by the former Miss Universe. According to local reports, Peters is already becoming an early favourite.

On the other hand, after Miss India, Manushi Chhillar's big win at Miss World, the billion plus nation is hoping to secure the Miss Universe title as well for a double victory and this won't be the first time for them - twice to be exact, once in 1994, and the second in 2000.
A win by Miss Universe-India Shraddha Shashidhar will relive the memories of 1994 when India's Sushmita Sen and Aishwarya Rai won the Miss Universe and Miss World title's respectively.

Whichever side you are on, you can help your favourite candidate get one step closer to the crown by voting for them on the Miss Universe website.
On Twitter, Twitterati can also vote by using the tags #MissUniverse and the #Country you are voting for; retweets will also count towards the votes!
According to the website, voters only have a day left to take their picks before the coronation night on Sunday, November 26.
