Talking to reporters in his home constituency, Dera Ismail Khan, Fazl cited an edict issued by a group of religious leaders against Imran for his un-Islamic activities.
He said he was not questioning Imran’s religious faith but a tape-recorded evidence was available that leads him to believe that he plans to serve Jewish and Qadiani interests in this country.
Fazl’s JUI hopes to do well in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province in the upcoming elections after receiving support from ‘electable’ politicians. However, Khan’s PTI has threatened these prospects putting them at each other’s throats.
Khan hit back at the Maulana during a hurricane series of election rallies in various constituencies of the KP province saying the Maulana has been levelling malicious accusations against him which have no basis. He said the Maulana is equally responsible for bleeding the Pakhtuns in the KP by being a partner in the Zardari government. “He is selling the sacred name of Islam for political purposes but his game is over now,” Khan said.
He vowed to pull the country out of America’s war on terror and shoot down US drones if they entered the Pakistani territory.
Addressing a series of quick rallies in Mardan, Charsadda, Swabi and other towns of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, Khan said: “With Asif Zardari and Fazl combining to act as lackeys, there is no need for Jewish conspiracy to harm Pakistan.”
The PTI chief said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman accused him of being supported by Jewish and Ahmadi lobbies to fool the nation.
He said being true Muslims we would not engage in useless blame game. Khan further said that Islam has forbidden double standards especially in politics, adding that he is not a hypocrite.
