Pakistan said on Thursday that India's attempts to isolate it diplomatically have not gained traction with regional countries.

"Indian attempts to diplomatically isolate Pakistan have failed miserably," the Dawn quoted Foreign Office spokesman Nafees Zakaria as saying.

He condemned the "political manoeuvring" of the eight-nation Saarc, saying its summits had been postponed eight times in the past due to India.

The November Saarc Summit scheduled in Islamabad had to be called off after India and some other member countries declined to attend it in view of heightened India-Pakistan tensions.

The official also noted that Pakistan will take legal action if India breaches any of the bilateral agreements.

Pakistan was keeping an eye on the Indus Water Treaty, Zakaria said.

India has hinted at revisiting the water treat in view of Islamabad's continued support to separatists in Jammu and Kashmir.

The official also condemned what he said were the violations of the 2003 ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir by New Delhi and said Pakistan would reply to them in a befitting manner.
