Khaleeji Commercial Bank rewards best achievers

The Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB), one of Bahrain’s fast growing Islamic retail banks, has recently rewarded its best achievers staff in different categories as part of its bi-annual Referral Reward Programme (RRP).

The RRP has been designed to encourage staff from the different departments of the bank to generate sales and expand the bank’s clientele base.

The winners included Mohammed Mureed (branch manager), Noora Bin Hindi (customer service), Ali Kadhem (teller), Mohammed Ishaq (support unit), Nayef Naser (VIP, corporate and treasury), and West Rifa’a branch (best branch).

Addressing the ceremony chief executive officer of KHCB Khalil Al Meer said: “I would like to congratulate the winners of the RRP in the different categories for their efforts and dedication to help the bank grow its business further and achieve its objectives.

At KHCB, we have adapted a philosophy of investing in our people and motivating them through recognition and monetary rewards programmes.”

BAC concludes internship programme strategy for the roads sector

Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) hosted a ceremony for a group of university graduates who took part in a two-month internship programme at the company headquarter in Muharraq.

The internship programme was aimed at offering university students with the opportunity to develop their skills and combine theoretical knowledge with practical work experience.

The company is committed to giving back to the local community and supporting the development of the local workforce.

Al Areen Palace & Spa’s souq nights

Journey through time as Al Areen Palace & Spa, in association with Eub2b promotions, unveils the grandest and most unique Souq experience. Dubbed as “1001 Nights Souq,” an Aladdin-style meets-medieval-themed market is complete with authentic stalls and vendors playing medieval characters.

Thousands of items will be on sale including silver jewellery, perfumes, incense, fancy candles, clay pots, brass trays and ornaments, spices, nuts and candies, antique jewellery, leather goods, handmade items and a lot more.

Amidst a grandiose setting and lush greenery, the market will cover several distinct areas as well as several lively performances from entertainers will be featured.

There will be camel horse rides and carriages rides, play area for children, falconers, strolling musicians, Moroccan-style water seller, acrobatics, magicians, jugglers, fire eaters, etc.

A living museum includes: blacksmith, calligraphy, brass decoration and other artisan products. All this will be completed with a food festival offering the hotel’s delectable dishes, through themed cafe’s.

Hunkemoller opens first outlet

Dutch-based lingerie label Hunkemoller opened its first store in Bahrain on February 12.

The new outlet is located at the Bahrain City Centre and the company has plans to open many more stores across region in the coming year with almost 600 outlets in 16 countries.

Hunkemoller is currently the largest lingerie specialist in Europe.

The lingerie brand’s product range includes lingerie, nightwear, swimsuits, hosiery, beauty products and accessories.
