Emir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, arrived in Saudi Arabia's Jeddah on Tuesday night.
At King Abdulaziz International Airport, the Emir of Kuwait was received by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, and a number of officials, according to Saudi Press Agency.
Accompanied by an official delegation, the Emir is visiting the Kingdom on a brotherly visit, Kuna reported.
Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud held an Iftar banquet in Sheikh Sabah's honour. The banquet was held at Al Salam Palace in Jeddah.
The Kuwaiti Ruler is in Saudi for talks aimed at resolving a diplomatic crisis between Qatar and other Arab nations, lawmakers earlier said.
"Today, the Emir embarks on a trip to Saudi Arabia," veteran MP Ali al-Deqbasi said during a parliamentary session. "We pray to God to help him succeed in achieving Gulf unity."
With seven states -- the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Yemen, Libya and the Maldives -- snapping their ties with the maverick country, Qatar today finds itself isolated.
