An earthquake measuring magnitude 5 on the Richter scale struck a town in northwest Colombia on Thursday.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) said the epicentre of the earthquake was detected 15km from Valdivia town, at a depth of 70 km.
There have been no reports of casualties or material damage due to the earthquake.
