My peace plan only way forward, asserts Sharif

Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Saturday his four-point peace roadmap is the only way forward for both neighbours to end a perpetual state of mistrust and conflict.
"There is no other solution, we have given a proposal for peace in the region," PM Nawaz said while addressing the media on return from New York via London.
Responding to a question regarding India rebuffing his peace roadmap with a 'one-point' peace proposal of its own, the premier said, "India will have to follow the peace plan sooner or later and the sooner they do they better it will be."
He said mutual incrimination and involvement in proxy wars would benefit none but keep the region unstable and seriously hurt their plans for economic development. "India will not gain anything by pointing fingers at Pakistan," he added.
"Animosity has only impeded the development process.". Referring to three dossiers handed over by Pakistan to the UN secretary general on Friday containing evidence of India's involvement in fomenting terrorism and instability in their country, Sharif said: "All evidence regarding the involvement of India's premier spy agency, RAW, in terrorist activities in Pakistan have been submitted."
Meanwhile, Pakistan army chief Gen. Raheel Sharif has termed Kashmir as part of the "unfinished agenda of partition" and said the world community must help resolve the longstanding issue if it wants genuine peace in the region.
Addressing the Royal United Services Institute, an independent think-tank on defence and security, in London, Raheel said the dispute between Pakistan and India "resides in the Kashmir issue".
