During a meeting of the National Assembly standing committee on interior, Gabol demanded of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to impose emergency as per Article 232 of the constitution.

The MQM leader reacted aggressively over the ongoing dialogue process with the Taleban and said it should be halted. He said the country was in a state of war and there was no question for peace talks with Taleban.

He said the Taleban were not ready to stop terrorist activities in the country and the government should stop the dialogue process and initiate military operation against the terrorists. — Online
