Qatar officials have cancelled the Bollywood night scheduled to be in Qatar on March 11. Bollywood actress Sunny Leone was set to perform at the Asian Town Amphitheatre. She was going to be the main attraction of the Mega Bollywood Night.
According to media reports in Qatar, any cultural or artistic event is given the licence only if it complies with the public morals of the Qatari society.
In a Facebook message on Sunday, organisers of the Bollywood night said they were pulling the plug on the entire show.
The message said:
Important :- We regret to inform you that this event is cancelled due to sum unfortunate reasons by the authorities . We promise you to come back with anextra vaganza which will take you to the next level of entrataiment. ... stay tuned. Note - Everyone who purchased the tickets will get full refund back from the ticketing website and the same outlets from where you purchased physical tickets.
