Saudi Arabia has cracked down on young men who have been wearing haircuts, necklaces and clothes that are considered un-Islamic during the month of Ramadan.
The suspects were arrested in the Saudi city of Makkah, Islam's holiest site, according to Saudi news website Sabq.
According to the report, the arresting officers noticed a number of offences like strange haircuts, chains that are hung upon the chest or arms, head wraps and short clothes and immodest ones - for both men and women.
According to Sabq the offenders in Mecca were "handed over to the department of criminal investigations" after they were spotted shopping in the city.
People spotted by the police wearing shorts, t-shirts, crocs and different haircuts were taken in for questioning.
The newspaper also quoted a young man in gym shorts, who, after being detained, apparently saw the error of his ways.
He told Sabq: "Frankly this outfit is sickening. Today I have decided to wear long sports trousers instead."
