Congress leader Shashi Tharoor dropped yet another word bomb on Twitter, sending a scurry of extolling comments when he called BJP leader Vinay Katiyar a 'troglodyte'.
On Tuesday, in a reciprocating tweet, Tharoor slammed Katiyar over his statement made earlier that Taj Mahal would 'soon be demolished and converted to Tej Mandir' and called him 'troglodyte' and wrote: 'We can't let these troglodytes destroy our country & everything beautiful in it.'

According to Times Now, as soon as the tweet was up, Twitter was abuzz with people thanking the Congress leader for adding yet another English word to their vocabulary. A troglodyte means someone who has lived in a case or is a hermit and Tharoor's use of the word implied ignorance and outmoded attitude.
Katiyar made the controversial comment when he was asked about the 'Taj Mahostav' being held in Agra. "There is not much of a difference between 'Taj' and 'Tej'. It is a good thing that a festival is being organised but this Taj Mahal is not the one that existed during the time of Aurangzeb. It was our temple. Now it has become a cremation ground. A time will come when the cremation ground inside the Taj will be destroyed by some administrator. Only our temple will exist and only the pillars that exist around it will stand," Katiyar had said at the event.
Meanwhile, Twitteratis were hooked on to the new word learnt and came up with hilarious responses. One such tweet to Tharoor says: '@deepanshu_2893 Sir I request you to kindly use terms which these cavemen can actually understand.'
