Yesterday, we got you a list of all the GCC road trips you could take during Eid-Al-Adha. Now we're going to give you a list of all the beautiful destinations that are just a hop, skip and jump (by plane of course) away.
India

Flights to India have always been over-crowded, booked out and popular with GCC national and residents. And if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle and traffic congestion of India's main cities, consider a visit to the country's southern region of Kerala or to the North East. Not only is India home to spectacular wildlife, according to the State Tourism website, Kerala has around 600 kilometres of coastline and tea-covered hills. Or why not rent a house boat? The neighbouring state of Tamil Nadu is also home to the Nilgiris or the Blue Mountains. The North Eastern region of India is still undiscovered by many tourists and the states of Meghalaya, Assam and Tripura are more than happy to see visitors.

Beirut, Lebanon

Just a 4 hour flight from Dubai is the fun Middle Eastern city of Beirut in Lebanon. The country is known to be "one where you can ski in the mountains in the morning and sun bathe by the pool in the afternoon" and has also been called the "Paris of the Middle East" by many. With the rising popularity of cheap air travel a weekend trip or week's holiday to Beirut is even more affordable. There are many hotels to choose from throughout the country all you need to do is check out Tripadvisor and the City's nightlife is known to be super happening.

Istanbul, Turkey

Despite the recent terror attacks, tourism to Turkey is just as good as ever. More and more Arab travellers are heading to the Turkish city of Istanbul. This is the only city in the world that has the distinction of being in both Asia and Europe. Why not take a cruise down the Bosphorus river that divides the city into two continents or visit the world famous Hagia Sophia. Plus point: it's just 5 hours away!
Prices start at Dh1000 with Turkish Airlines.
Tbilisi, Georgia

Georgia is an under the radar destination that has always been a hit with the GCC residents who have been here for a while. But if you're new to the region then this is on your must-visit list for sure. The capital city of Tbilisi has beautiful architecture and is an awe-inspiring east European travel destination. With no visa restrictions for GCC residents, there has never been a better time to visit this wonderful city. It's only three hours thirty minutes away.
Prices start at Dh827 with FlyDubai.
Djbouti

Djbouti is not high up on the visit list of GCC travellers and we're yet to figure out why! Start planning your trip to this tiny African country asap. Though it is small in size it has enough to keep you entertained. Djibouti is mixture of Arabic, African and French cultures, so don't be surprised if you hear fluent French and Arabic!
