Suburban train derails in Mumbai, services hit
The train coming from Borivili to Churchgate derailed at around 11 AM between Andheri and Vile Parle stations, the second such incident involving local trains in as many days.

Suburban harbour line services, both up and down, were on Monday suspended between CST and Wadala Road Station owing to the mishap.

Seven coaches of a local train derailed between Andheri and Vile Parle stations in suburban Mumbai on Tuesday, disrupting traffic on the busy route linking Churchgate in South Mumbai to Virar. No casualty has been reported, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO), Western Railway, Sharat Chandrayan said.
The train coming from Borivili to Churchgate derailed at around 11 AM between Andheri and Vile Parle stations, the second such incident involving local trains in as many days.
A team of engineers and rescue officials have rushed to the spot to restore the services, the CPRO said.
An inquiry would be conducted to ascertain the cause of the derailment, he added.
The suburban train services were badly affected on the busy route due to the derailment.
A local train coming from Bandra had last evening derailed on the Harbour Line of Central Railway while entering the platform at Chhattrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST), causing inconvenience to commuters during the peak hours.
